Fieldtrip to McDonalds

Olivia goes to a little playgroup every morning from 8-10am. A few weeks ago, they took a field trip to McDonalds. We were told they were going to "make hamburgers" and I had this image in my mind of 3 and 4 year olds flipping burgers behind the hot grill. So I decided it was time for me to take part in my first field trip as a mom:)

So we all loaded up on the bus (which may have actually been Livvy's favorite part) and off we went to McDonalds.


McD's is where my mom always takes Livvy for special outings so Livvy is quite familiar with McD's and I was just praying she wouldn't ask for ice cream because that is what she always gets when she goes with Grammy!

So first they got a tour behind the counter, then a tour of the grill area.

After that, they got to play in the play area, which is not quite big enough for 30 kids....

Then it was time to assemble the hamburgers! Eat child got their own tray with a bun. Then the McD's workers would walk around with a tray of meat or pickles or onions and let the kids put it on their bun.

Finally, it was time to finish the burger and wrap it up in the wrapper and take it home to eat!
