Sick and Moving

Just want to give a little update on what's going on with us these days. The first is that we have a sick household! We all went together to the doctor and all got checked out. It was definietly an interesting family outing! We actually went for me (vikki) becuase I have the flu, but we've all had a cough for about a week so after the doc checked me out, we put little Livvy on the table and when she was done, the doc looked at pete and said, ok, now it's your turn. I'm on antibiotics, cough medicine and antihistamine, olivia is on nose drops, cough medicine and if she gets any worse, antibiotics. Pete lucked out and doesn't have to take any medicine. He's always had a stronger immune system than me. So, I spent the day sleeping and Pete got to be Mr. Mom and did a fabulous job! (I won't post a picture, but if you can imagine in your head 3 of the most pitiful people in the world, coughing and runny noses - that would be us).

Also, in the midst of being sick, our teammates and best friends, Petrus and Lisle (the ones from South Africa) have to leave the country in 3 days because they can't get their visas renewed. Americans are very lucky world travelers usually being able to get a visa upon arrival at their destination. But for South Africans, it is very difficult for them to get visas anywhere. Petrus will have to get a full time job and invitation from a company to return with his family. So we are moving out of our apartment into their house (which is by far a better place to live) while they are gone. So, after 4 months in our apartment we will be moving again. So much for wanting to never move again...



Please pray for Petrus, Lisle and their kids Esmarie and Josia. They will be heading back to the country we just left not understanding this detour. They will be there for at lest 3-6 months until they can get back here or God shows them what to do. Please pray for us as our best friends are leaving. It is a very sad thing, as we see them almost every day and love them very much and their kids are Livvy's first friends that she actually plays with. It is so cute to see them together, chasing each other around the house, making each other laugh and just having a ball together. Here's a few pics of them playing together...
