Up in the Mountians

Batu is a city about 45 minutes away from us up in the mountains. It is higher elevation which makes it cooler and is a great place to get away from the heat. There are little hole-in-the-wall restaurants all along the cliff of the mountains that serve yummy indonesian food...mostly friend noodles, chicken sate with peanut sauce and grilled corn. Last Thursday was a holiday here - the ascension of Jesus...isn't that a cool holiday? I wonder why don't we celebrate that in the US? Seems like kind of an important day, don't you think? anyways, it was a holiday so we took off to Batu. My main goal was to be cold and wear a jacket! We had dinner with our good friends, Kaylor and Donny and one of Livvy's besties, Clara. Kaylor is still pregnant with Noah's bestie...only one more month to go!
