A Javanese Wedding

One of our good friends (who also babysits for us) got married a few weeks ago. She had a traditional Javanese style wedding. It was quite different and we had to prepare the kids for seeing her since she would look so different and it sometimes scares kids to see the bride all decked out!

Here's Livvy getting used to our friend's new look - check out that head piece from the back!
Noah needed a little warming up too, but after a while he was fine and even gave her a hug.
Yes our family is wearing matching outfits. The design is called Batik and originates here in Indonesia and it's very common for families to all wear matching batik. We thought we'd join in the fun:)

Here we are with another friend of ours and her cute little boy.

Wow! That traditional garb is striking! Thanks for posting pictures. Going to weddings overseas is so fun. Glad you could go and celebrate and show us some pictures. Love you guys!
